Sam Claitor
Sam is the founder of Hammer & Nail Marketing, a boutique marketing agency that specializes in working with marinas and marine businesses. They are the driving force behind MarketingMarinas.com, a free website to help educate marina owners and operators on how to get their marketing to work. They have worked with dozens of marinas and marina groups since their inception in 2017. During Sam’s wide-ranging career, he has worked on productions like Star Trek, Game of Thrones, Captain America and Zombie Shark. On the commercial side, he’s worked on campaigns for Toyota, Boeing and Bud Light.
He doesn’t think of himself as just a “marketing guy.” He’s been a dockhand, a dad, a camera guy, sales guy, editor, accountant, repairman, “the guy who drives the boats” and more. These experiences combine to help him provide valuable insights when working with clients. Not just a “marketing” perspective, but a business perspective that factors in the entire operation and the surrounding community.
