Jonathan Klopman is a NAMS Certified Marine Surveyor and a longstanding member of the International Association of Marine Investigators with an office in Marblehead, Massachusetts. His firm specializes in accident investigation and failure analysis. During his 35 years as a marine surveyor, Mr. Klopman has worked for G.W. Full & Associates as well as Dan Rutherford’s Ocean Marine Specialties. He was senior marine surveyor in the recreational marine claims department at ACE/Chubb. His work has been published by Woodenboat and Professional Boatbuilder magazine, where he was named on the masthead. Mr. Klopman has been a featured speaker/instructor at the International Boatbuilder’s Exposition, the American Boat and Yacht Council, and the Landing School of Boatbuilding and Design. His assignments run the gamut from mechanical/rigging/hull failure to submersion, fire, fraud, and accident reconstruction. These investigations include liability defense work for marinas and boatyards. He handles international assignments as well as throughout the US. He has been qualified as an expert in Federal as well as state court on numerous cases.
