Speaker – Amanda Funk

Amanda Funk is an experienced maritime professional with almost 25 years of expertise in the industry, spanning maritime retail, manufacturing, boat building, marine electronics, and distribution. A fourth-generation mariner, she started as a cashier at Boater’s World almost 25 years ago and went on to spend six years as a sales manager for Garmin International, giving her firsthand insight into the technical and operational sides of the industry.

Combining an educational background in business management with her industry experience, Amanda launched Compass Maritime Group to strengthen the marine industry one great hire, one business at a time. CMG now supports marinas and marine businesses with a range of services spanning recruiting and staffing, ongoing talent support, and operations and growth consulting.
