J. Mills

J. Mills has been actively engaged in the recreational and commercial marine industry for more than twenty years as a manager, consultant, contractor, and supplier, including the planning, design, and project management of more than $60 million in marina and boatyard renovations for both inland and coastal locations. In 1998 he joined Westrec Marinas as Northern California Regional Manager & VP directing the operations and development of six inland and coastal marinas. In 2004, J. became the General Manager of the California Recreation Company overseeing the operations and capital improvements of five Newport Beach Harbor and San Francisco Bay marinas. In 2007 he acquired his California Class A General Engineering contractors license and started a consulting and marine construction company, Marina Business Associates / Pacific Dockmasters, Inc. In 2011 J. started the Twin Lakes Management Company, and as COO directed all of the marina, boatyard, and parks & recreation operations on Lakes McClure and McSwain. In 2016 he joined Meeco Sullivan / Wahoo Docks as Western Region Sales Manager. J. has also been a published author and contributed numerous articles to Marina Dock Age and other industry publications, and made other educational presentations at the MRA and CAHMPC trade conferences.
