Robert Brown began his construction career as a concrete and masonry contractor. In 1988, the Florida-licensed general contractor founded GCM Contracting Solutions, initially specializing in residential construction. In 2000, the company began using the tilt-up construction method and focused on commercial and industrial projects. In 2008, Brown built the world’s first all-concrete drystack at Hamilton Harbor Yacht Club & Boathouse located in Naples, Florida. Brown later collaborated with an Austrian based company to co-develop technology to automate the storage and retrieval process for boats, replacing the traditional forklift/crane method. Brown is a leading authority on design-build services and construction. Over the past three decades, he has managed projects for some of the most notable landmarks in southwest Florida.
