Penny Cutt, Edgewater’s director of environmental sciences, has 25 years of experience in environmental monitoring, assessment, planning and regulatory permitting. Having lived in South Florida since childhood, she is driven by a strong desire to protect marine resources. Cutt oversees all coastal and waterfront projects in the southern half of the U.S. and the Caribbean, easily applying her project management experience to ensure timeliness and accuracy of projects delivered. As a marine ecologist in the public and private sector, Cutt navigates environmental regulations that dictate aquatic and coastal ecosystems by evaluating complex scientific information and communicating it to the decision-makers. Her expertise in administering federal, state and county environmental regulatory programs has been of paramount importance to her clients currently in the private sector. Cutt serves on the Broward County Marine Advisory Committee and Pompano Beach Marine Advisory Board.
