Myles Barton

Myles Barton is the Chief of the Management and Disposal Branch and has served the Nashville District Real Estate Division in this capacity since August 2018. As the Chief, Myles is responsible for the management of title and interest in Army controlled real property, which includes 57 commercial concession marina leases throughout the Cumberland River Basin. Myles manages 7 employees with the Management and Disposal Branch. Myles began his career with the Federal Government in 2005 in the Mobile District Real Estate Division. He served in the Management and Disposal Branch until 2009, and then moved to the Mississippi Coastal Improvement Project (MsCIP) office in Pascagoula, MS. There he acquired property through a high hazard area risk reduction program and relocated families that were directly impacted by Hurricane Katrina. In 2011, Myles moved to Dawsonville, GA and served as the Realty Specialist for Lake Allatoona, Carters Lake and Lake Lanier, where he managed all of the associated real estate actions while being based out of the Resource Management Office. In February 2014, Myles moved to Nashville, TN and served as the Team Leader of the Management and Disposal Branch. Myles’ major responsibilities included serving as an advisor to the Branch Chief and assisting in the administration of the Management and Disposal Branch workforce in the execution of the outgrant program. He also negotiated and prepared complex real estate contracts and served as the primary liaison for the Commercial Concession (Marinas) Program and major stakeholders. Myles graduated from the University of South Alabama (USA) in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He was selected in 2010 to participate in the inaugural USACE Certified National Realty Specialist Program. Myles and his wife, Angela, live in Lebanon, TN with their sons, Isaac and Rhett.
